Miras students are prize winners of Olympiads 20.02.2014

Miras students have fought for the top places in intellectual competitions and achieved considerable success while the whole world stood motionless before TV screens watching the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

The following 6 Miras students took part in the city Olympiad in the following subjects: Lyazzat Kenessova (Grade 9) in Maths; Polina Chumakova (Grade 9) in Chemistry; Zhanibek Taubaldiyev (Grade 8) in English language; Botagoz Sadykbekova (Grade 9) in Biology; Anna-Mariya Zhivotikova (Grade 9) in Kazakh language; Aigerim Zhunussova (Grade 9) in the History of Kazakhstan. Two of our students — Botagoz Sadykbekova and Aigerim Zhunussova received awards for 3rd place. Polina Chumakova was awarded a diploma for “Good knowledge in Chemistry’.

In the city competition of scientific projects that was held in school lyceum number 54, more than 500 students defended their scientific projects in general subjects and fought for the title “the Best”. Three students of our school took part in this competition: Nazira Mamytbekova (Grade 10) presented her project in Chemistry on the topic “A Healthy environment is the base of the realization of the “Kazakhstan 2030” strategy”; Dameli Boszhanova presented her project in the section “Right”; Amina Yergozhina (Grade 9) prepared a project in Literature. The competent jury noted the high level of our students’ projects and awarded 3rd prize place to Amina Yergozhina and 1st place to Nazira Mamytbekova providing her with an opportunity to protect the honor of the city at republican level. Again Nazira is among the top students. In the republican competition her project was awarded a diploma for 3rd place.

And one more major achievement of our school — Grade 11 student, Adiya Balakhmetova became a winner of the Computer Creativity competition in an international tournament “Computer physics 2014”, which was held in Protvino city in Russia. Adiya’s project was recognized as one of the best projects and was awarded a Diploma of 1st degree.

I would like to note that the area of our winners’ interest is not limited only to studying. All of them are involved in sports, interested in music and take an active part in the life of their school and class.

Our congratulations! We are proud of your achievements and we are sure that in future you will have many new victories!
