Over the past 2 weeks Miras has been very active on the football pitch. Our first match was at QSI on a full feild. This was an under 18 match with students ranging from grade 6 to grade 11. Early on in the game, QSI took a 2-0 lead and held it until the end of the first half. As this was our first game on a full pitch it took us a while to find our rhythm. In the second half we came storming back and tied the game at 2-2. After this point it was a constant back and forth between both sides. Unfortunately, with little time left on the game clock, QSI scored a late goal to win the game 3-2. Our Miras team played well in our first game and showed great potential. Our next under 18 game will be played on Friday October 10th @ QSI.
Yesterday our under 14 football team play at Haileybury school. This was small friendly tournament that included QSI, Haileybury, and Miras. As we played on a smaller football field and all matches were 7 on 7. We started off the day slowly but eventually found our stride and were able to win all 3 games. Our opponents all played extremely well and we were happy to come away with 3 victories. This was a great experience and is something we would like to continue!
