Victory Day celebration!16.05.2016
The 71st anniversary of Victory Day celebration has been marked in our school by a variety of events like peace pictures’ drawing “Peace in the World”, writing letters and poems to peers/veterans, visiting a museum, declamation of poems. Secondary school students participated in the interview and provided their vision on “what does the word “peace” and “war” mean for you” and shared their vision on what can a person do to save peace.
Primary school atrium have been decorated by handmade white paper doves that symbolize peace.
War movies like “the boy in a striped pajamas” helped to feel the atmosphere of the war to upper primary students. And grade 2 students took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of the eternal fire.
The week finished with the whole school assembly in the concert hall, where all miras community enjoyed musical and dancing performances together with the peace promoting videos, a balloon ceremony outside that has become a good tradition concluded the event.
