Day of Knowledge 01.09.2016

“Miras” International school in Astana isthe only capital school authorized in all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate and accredited by leading international accreditation agencies NEASC and CIS, which confirms the school’s commitment to high standards of international education. The achievements of the school have became possible thanks to the close cooperation of parents, students and school staff.

For the seventeenth time in our school, the first school bell sounds for first graders and a new academic year begins, full of different events and activities, many of which will be devoted to the 25-anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the forthcoming International exhibition EXPO-2017.

According to tradition, , our Miras community was congratulated by the Director of the school, E. M Khamitova., and first grade students joined their class teachers — Miss Gulden and Miss Aliya, assisted by the heroes of the cartoon “Puzzle”, Kung fu Panda and a Sorting hat from Harry Potter. They reminded the first graders about what supplies they need at school, debated which items are the most important, and all together sang a song about the importance of all school subjects. But the first graders were not left behind: together with the headmasters, they sang a wonderful song about the school about needing to be truthful, noble, just, intelligent, honest — in short, a student of the Miras International School. The first graders took solemn vows and ..... here is the ringing — their first school bell! The first graders began a new phase in their lives — sitting at their desks for the first time , meeting new friends andgaining new knowledge and skills. The graduates and students of grade 12 of the Diploma programme will prepare for the end of their school career and the examinations givingall parents new worries.

We wish the best of success to the Miras community and believe the school year will be a great experience for each of our students!
