Charity Art Sale Proceeds

Charity Art Sale Proceeds 01.02.2017

The students of the PF “Nursultan Nazarbayev Educational Foundation” Branches helped the “Ayala” charity foundation open a visual arts room.

From May 26th to the 28th 2016, there was a charity art sale " Blossom, our native Kazakhstan" devoted to the 25th Anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence in Astana. Miras International School and Pre-school students presented 80 pictures in the shopping and entertainment center “Keruen”. 48 pictures sold out for a total amount of 226 000 tenge. The price for the pictures started from 500 tenge and more.

From May 11th to 15th 2016 there was an art sale created by the students of International School of Almaty, Miras International School as well as “Arystan” Specialized Lyceum in the shopping and entertainment center “Mega Alma-Ata 2”. The students presented 36 best pictures for sale. There were portraits, landscapes and still-life paintings priced from 3 to 20 thousand tenge. 23 pictures sold out for a total amount of 275 000 tenge.

Thanks to the generous people of Almaty and Astana, 501 000 tenge was raised for charity. The proceeds were given to the Project “Art-Therapy” “Ayala” charitable foundation’s goal to open a visual art room for children with disabilities from regional special school boarding house № 5 in Saran town, Karaganda region.

Currently, there are 181 children from the age 5 to 18 with mental development disorder, that frequently become complicated with emotional-volitional disorders, studying at the boarding-school and rooms with special equipment and creative work-rooms are required for their education.

On October 2, 2016, a new visual art room opened during the celebration of Teachers’ Day. Thanks to the charity the room was equipped with modern interactive whiteboard, drawing easels, artist’s canvas, brushes, paints etc. Project’s total cost is estimated at 857 389 tenge.
